Welcome

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them... because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

"ATTACK OF THE TWO-HEADED POETRY MONSTER" Book Review

Posted by admin in Untagged

So I've picked up "Attack of the Two-Headed Poetry Monster" by Bram Stoker Award Finalist Michael McCarty and Bram Stoker Award-winning author Mark McLaughlin. This is a collection of over 80 dark and twisted poems that I would call a perfect combination of Tim Burton and Shel Silverstein, with dashes of Steven King and Lovecraft thrown in.

Michael McCarty Releases First Children's Book

Posted by admin in Untagged

Already a prolific writer — with six books being released this year for a total of 20 by the end of 2010 — Michael McCarty had never penned a children’s book. “That was always on the back burner,” the Rock Island writer, 47, said. But that’s changed with the publication of “Rusty the Robot’s Holiday Adventures,” an 84-page book targeted at 6- to 12-year-old readers.

THE EZEKIEL CODE (excerpt)

Posted by admin in Untagged

Prologue
December 15, 1999

Frank McClintock paced the floor and watched the clock as he waited for Professor Alan Kline to arrive. He's late, McClintock thought to himself. He's never late for anything. Maybe I better call him. As he reached for the phone the doorbell rang. He moved quickly across the room and opened the door. "Alan! Glad you could make it. Come on in."

Self Publish with Smashwords.com

Posted by admin in Untagged

A few of you have mentioned to me that you want to publish and sell some of your writings, so I want to share some information with you. I've recently chatted with Mark Coker over at Smashwords.com. Mark offers a very good service for independent authors. With Smashwords, anybody can sell an ebook, and it gives authors full control over how their works are published, sampled, priced and sold.
