Welcome

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them... because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Those college kids in the 80s really knew how to party. Sure, they look kind of lame-ass 20+ years later, but back then...well, they were still lame-ass but most of us were too young to realize it. "Night of the Creeps" is a perfect example of something lame that once looked semi-cool and is now shelved into our mental nostalgia bin. In retrospect, it had nearly limitless potential: naked, midget, hulked-out aliens (nods to Franklin...if only they had been green and female for you man); a crazed escaped mental patient with an axe; alien slugs; zombies. If they had thought of snagging Bruce Campbell for one of the leads, it could have been perfect.

Movie Reviews from a Female View - Near Dark

This gem of a film was overshadowed by Lost Boys so not many people saw it. And the cast list is just fantastic. Lance Hendrikson, Bill Paxton, Janette Goldstein. I vaguely remember hearing that all 3 walked off the set of Aliens into this.
